arrow New Cage Vibrator - (prototype in testing)

Driving a cage into a CFA bored wet concrete pile has been accomplished in many different ways over time, from hitting the top section with an excavator bucket to a number of workers using their collective weight to force the cage into the concrete by hanging on the sides and jumping up and down (these actions are highly dangerous and put workers at risk) or a site fix connecting a piling vibro to the cage.

Dawson have designed a specific product that will avoid both of these high risk actions and safely lift the cage into the correct position with a spreader beam and slings and then allow the weight of the cage to sink the cage to a refusal depth and then accurately lower a unique self-adjusting patented clamp system that grips the cage without damage so it can then be driven into the wet concrete with a Dawson vibratory driver.

This vibrating action not only allows the smooth and rapid driving of the cage into the concrete but also aids the settlement of the wet mix, ensuring the quick safe fixing of the cage into the pile.

New HPH2500 Central Ram Hydraulic Hammer

The NEW HPH2500 central Ram Hammer pile driving test run. There are many advantages with the Dawson range of double acting hydraulic piling hammers over a diesel hammer, these are: -

1.No loss of energy due to the drop weight not having to compress any fuel mixture.
2.You can adjust the stroke during operation to vary the amount of energy during operation.
3.The hammer can be operated in manual mode to allow for single blows. This is very useful when the pile is close to reaching its required bearing capacity.
4.Shorter strokes are used because the drop weight is accelerated down under hydraulic pressure. This means the amount of blows per minute is higher increasing productivity. Blow rates up to 120 BPM.
5.The hammers can be used under water.

DFI Middle East Conference 11th-12th May 2016

Dawson Construction Plant will be presenting the new KEY-PILE at the DFI conference in Dubai next month.
Dawson Key-Piles are produced by re-working standard sheet pile profiles. By this process of “compressing”
profiles into nearly half of their “as rolled” width it is possible to almost double the modulus per metre but without
increase in depth of profile. This is not efficient in the use of steel but if a Property Developer can reduce a
basement wall thickness from 1080mm to 480mm for the same modulus the available rental space has increased
by 600mm on all wall faces. This makes a significant increase in rentable floor space and is worth considerably
more in financial terms than steel efficiency.

Dawson Key-Piles can be installed in many ground conditions using silent, vibrationless pressing equipment
together with suitable ground treatment. Having re-worked standard profiles into Key-Piles a new feature arises
in the form of a dovetail profile. Concrete can now be cast directly onto the face of the sheet piles without having
to rely on shear connectors..

Excon 25th-29th Nov 2015 - The Event

Investments in Infrastructure is key to India's sustained Growth and this has been the guiding principle behind all policy initiatives / interventions by the Government of India. The Planning Commission foresees India's Infrastructure spending to be in the range of US $ 1 Trillion for the 12th plan ( 2012-17).

Infrastructure investments are among the main growth drivers of the construction equipment industry. The Planning Commission of India estimates total infrastructure spending of about US$ 428 billion during the 11thFive Year Plan (2007-12) and foresee to double India's infrastructure investments to about US$ 1 trillion for the 12th Plan (2012-17). The Government of India has granted sops, including a large number of special economic zones (SEZs), to the capital goods industry of which construction equipment is a part; especially with an impetus to increase exports.

Confederation of India Industry (CII), India's premiere industry Association presents Excon 2015 - the 8th edition of Excon is scheduled to be held 25th - 29th November 2015, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

arrow Lifting Frames - Kings Cross Development (Gas Holders)

DCP have been awarded the contract to design and manufacture a lifting frame for the 3 tier columns use in the gas holders at Kings Cross. The columns are 100+ years old, made from cast iron and due to their fragile nature need a specially design frame to lift the column from horizontal to vertical. The project is part of a much larger scheme to redevelop and rejuvenate the area while maintaining the historical heritage from that part of London.

arrow KEY PILE - DCP announce a KEY development in the evolution
of steel sheet piles

A simple process delivers a MODULUS MULTIPLIER to standard sheet piles from 5,000cm3/m to 10,000cm3/m.
The process adds little or no extra depth to the profiles delivering a SLIMLINE wall of 10,000cm3/m but only 500mm deep.
Key Piles provide the perfect profile to cast concrete onto for FIRE PROTECTION & CORROSION PROTECTION.
Key Piles facilitate double concrete cladding for BEACH CORROSION.2
Minimum wall thickness = Maximum basement footprint
