LoDril - Case Study

Video -
DH18-31M  Lodril
Royal Parks,
London

This short video shows how easily LoDril can be transported into difficult site entrances due to its compact size and relatively low weight. The DH18-31M LoDril, once on site gets straight to work with minimal set up time unlike much larger rigs. The drilling process is fast, this particular project consisted of drilling two holes to 31m deep at a diametre of 600mm. Stage one was to Insert a casing to 11m, this was done by drilling slightly over size to 9m and then driving the casing down to 11m. Stage two consisted of changing the auger size and drilling down to the full depth of 31m through the casing. The Lodril acheived its maximum depth 31m in London clay in 1hr 35mins.
